Prescriptions

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE CANNOT ACCEPT REQUESTS FOR PRESCRIPTIONS OVER THE TELEPHONE.

WE REQUIRE A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS NOTICE FOR ALL REPEAT PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS.

 Requesting your prescription in person:

Prescriptions can be requested by handing your request slip to a member of our reception staff or putting it in our repeat prescription box (this is located on the wall next to our reception area).

Requesting your prescription via post:

You may request your repeat prescription by sending your request slip to us in the post. We are not responsible for anything that happens to your request slip before it reaches us. If you wish for us to post your prescription back to you then please attach a pre-stamped envelope with your address on.

 Requesting your prescription online:

You are now able to order your repeat prescription online, via the NHS Wales App

If you are on long term treatment, we will usually give a printed list of medicines, so you can order repeat prescriptions without having to see the doctor every time.

The repeat prescription system is only for medicines that are on the printed list given to you. If you require a prescription for anything that is not on the list, please attend the 'walk-in clinic', between 8am and 10am to discuss this with the doctor.

COLLECTING YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS

We kindly request that all prescriptions are collected from our reception team AFTER 11am any weekday, unless you have arranged for them to be sent directly to a Pharmacy.

We sincerely hope that extending the time when these can be collected will allow you more flexibility than the system previously in place.

We ask that you wear a face covering and be respectful and considerate towards your fellow patients and our staff.

If you have a query regarding the delivery or dispensing of your medication, please ring your regular pharmacy from whom you collect your medication.

Every 12 months you will need to make an appointment to see the doctor/nurse practitioner, to review your medication.

We thank you for your continued co-operation.
