Appointments

APPOINTMENT SYSTEM:

 MORNINGS

 We operate a walk-in surgery between 8am and 10am
* You will be seen the same day (if you arrive within the agreed time frame in the morning)
* You can see a Healthcare Professional for any problem, urgent or non-urgent, medication review and sicknotes
*You may have to wait to be seen if the surgery is busy
*You cannot choose a specific person to see
*There will be no option of telephone advice, you will be required to attend the surgery in person to speak to the doctor.

Please note that we can become extremely busy during the morning surgeries, and, on occasion, long waits can be experienced.

On exceptionally busy days, the doctors and nurse practitioner may become fully "booked", and you may be asked to attend the following day.

   AFTERNOONS

Appointments can be arranged up to a maximum of two weeks in advance, subject to availability. Please be aware that these appointments are limited.

We endeavour to give you an appointment with the doctor of your choice, but this is not always possible.

Receptionists may request additional information from you, to ensure that you see the most appropriate health care professional.

ALL CHILDREN UNDER 16 YEARS OF AGE WITH ACUTE PRESENTATIONS WILL BE OFFERED A SAME DAY CONSULTATION.

What is expected of the patient:

Patients are expected to attend their appointments at the arranged time. If this is not possible, they should inform the surgery as soon as possible.

 HOME VISITS

This service is at the discretion of the doctor(s) and should only be requested if you are housebound or too ill to attend the surgery. Upon a request for a home visit, the doctor will conduct a telephone triage call.
